Craniosacral Therapy

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

The most subtle touch — with the deepest reach.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive healing modality that works with one of the body’s most fundamental rhythms: the subtle wave-like pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid that flows around the brain and spinal cord.

Developed by Dr. John Upledger in the 1970s from osteopathic roots, CST uses touch so light it’s often described as «the weight of a nickel» — yet its effects reach the deepest structures of the central nervous system. By gently evaluating and releasing restrictions in the membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord, Esbe helps the body restore its own natural balance and self-healing capacity.

Because the craniosacral system is connected to the entire skeleton through connective tissue and membranes, releasing restrictions at this level can have profound, whole-body effects: reduced headaches, relief from jaw tension, better sleep, eased anxiety, and a quieting of a nervous system that has been in overdrive.

This is the therapy for those who feel that something is «off» — but pressure-based work hasn’t reached it.

Chronic headaches and migraines.

TMJ (jaw tension and clicking).

Neck pain and post-whiplash symptoms.

Anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation.

Insomnia and sleep disruption.

Post-concussion recovery.

Infants and children (CST is exceptionally gentle).

Anyone who feels depleted, overwhelmed, or «stuck».

What to expect:

You remain fully clothed during a CST session. Esbe will gently place her hands under your head, at the base of your skull, along your spine, and at the sacrum — listening to the craniosacral rhythm and working to release any areas of restriction. The touch is so light that some clients wonder if anything is happening — until they notice a wave of warmth, a release of held tension, or an unexpected feeling of peace. Sessions last 45 to 60 minutes. Many clients report feeling deeply rested, lighter, and clearer for days afterward.

Some things need the lightest touch to shift. Book your craniosacral session.
