Hot Stone Massage

What is Hot Stone Massage?

Let the warmth do the work that hands alone cannot.

Hot stone massage is a time-honored therapy that combines the healing power of heat with the art of skilled massage. Smooth basalt volcanic stones — chosen for their ability to retain heat evenly — are warmed to a precise temperature between 110°F and 130°F (43°C – 54°C) and used both as placement tools and as an extension of Esbe’s hands.

Heat is one of the most powerful tools in therapeutic bodywork. When applied to muscle tissue, warmth causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing circulation and delivering oxygen-rich blood to tight areas. Muscles that would normally require significant pressure to release simply soften and open under the stones’ steady warmth — allowing Esbe to work more deeply and effectively, with far less intensity.

The experience is unlike any other massage: a wave of warmth moves through the body, melting tension at a cellular level, calming the nervous system, and creating a state of profound, total relaxation.

Key benefits and properties of Hot Stone Massage include:

Chronic muscle tension and stiffness.

People who want deep relief without intense pressure.

Stress, anxiety, and insomnia.

Cold sensitivity and poor circulation.

Joint pain associated with arthritis or stiffness.

Anyone seeking a deeply restorative, full-body experience.

What to expect:

Esbe begins by warming the stones in water to the ideal temperature, then places them along key points of the body — spine, shoulders, hands, between the toes — while using additional stones to massage with long, flowing strokes. You’ll feel the warmth spreading steadily through your muscles. The heat and movement work in tandem to release tension layers gradually. Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes. Dress comfortably and drink plenty of water afterward.

Some tension needs warmth to let go. Book your hot stone session.
